About Lucy Dittes:
The passion for makeup came to Lucy at an early age. With three older sisters who were teenagers by the time she was 7, makeup became a favorite pastime. Often getting in trouble for "messing with her sister's makeup", she invented and created several different looks every chance she got without getting caught by her older sisters. Eventually they came to admire her created looks and asked her to teach them how to acheive the same look.
By the time Lucy was a teenager, she was asked by friends to do their makeup for special occasions as well as councel friends on new looks and styles for each upcoming year. As graduation approached, the plan was to head to school to be a Makeup Artist, but before she knew it, she was thrust into the Entertainment Industry in an entirely different capacity.
Lucy spent 17 years after graduation in various positions in the Entertainment Industry mostly as an Event Coordinator for various theatrical events. But even through all those years, her passion for Makeup Artistry was still her first love. She spent her free time continuing to play with makeup on herself, her daughters and her friends. Eventually one of her daughters started the journey into modeling. She accompanied her as her Makeup Artist on all shoots and had the fortune of meeting many new friends in the business. Eventually she started taking jobs as a Makeup Artist on her own.
After doing several photoshoots and runway shows, she decided it was time to move forward with her career by attending the esteemed Westmore Academy of Cosmetic Arts in Burbank, CA. She studied underneath some of Hollywood's most prestigous names in the Makeup Industry. She also had the honor of being a Special Makeup FX student under Emmy Nominated Michael S. Pack.
Lucy continues to attend workshops as often as possible as the world of Makeup in ever changing with the advancement of technology. She continues to work as an Independant Makeup Artist on Film, Print and Runway projects.
